Washington governor curtails Thanksgiving gatherings

Posted online

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee announced a series of new restrictions on community and business activities as coronavirus cases have risen rapidly in the state.

Indoor gatherings are being curtailed ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Residents will not be allowed to gather outside of their homes unless all involved agree to quarantine for two weeks and test negative for the virus.

Business meetings are being prohibited under the new rules, and occupancy limitations are becoming stricter. The new restrictions start today and last through Dec. 14.
