Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway penned a deal to sell its entire newspaper portfolio.
Lee Enterprises Inc. agreed to buy the newspapers for $140 million. Through the deal, Berkshire will provide Lee with $576 million in long-term financing at a 9% annual interest rate.
Berkshire's BH Media Group comprises 30 daily newspapers, including the Omaha World-Herald and the Winston-Salem Journal in North Carolina.
