Berkshire Hathaway, the holding company for stock mogul Warren Buffett, has said it will buy Kansas City-based Van Tuyl Group, which is the nation’s largest car dealership group, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

The Van Tuyl Group offers sales and service across 72 dealerships, mostly in the Sun Belt, and is ranked No. 4 on the Kansas City Business Journal’s list of top private companies by revenue. The company reportedly pulled in $8.2 billion in 2013 revenue.

In Springfield, the Van Tuyl Group owns 12 dealerships - more than any other city in Missouri - including Reliable Chevrolet, Reliable Toyota and Reliable RV & Motorhomes.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
