Warner Bros is being sued by co-financiers Village Roadshow over the hybrid release of "The Matrix Resurrections."
The fourth "Matrix" film was released in theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously. All of Warner’s 2021 titles followed the same structure.
Village Roadshow's lawsuit claims the hybrid decision destroyed any box office chances in December.
The film has made $37 million in the United States and $153 million worldwide.
