Glasses retailer Warby Parker has its sights set on Springfield.
Warby Parker is among a list of new tenants coming to Battlefield Mall that also includes variety store chain Miniso, according to a news release. Battlefield Mall's website lists a Warby Parker store that's expected to open Oct. 31. It would be located near HuHot Mongolian Grill in the northeast part of the mall, according to the website.
Officials with Warby Parker, which lists on its website an upcoming store in Battlefield Mall at 2825 S. Glenstone Ave., Ste. H08J, that's opening in 2024, could not be reached for comment by deadline.
Additionally, a building permit for Warby Parker at the mall is on file with the city of Springfield.
New York-based Warby Parker Inc. trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the WRBY ticker symbol. The company had 237 stores at the end of 2023, according to a financial report released for investors.
Warby Parker offers eyeglasses, sunglasses, contacts and accessories, according to its website.
