Those wanting to invest in the popular sport of mixed martial arts will get their chance.

Alliance MMA, a developmental league that helps fighters get into the UFC, is becoming the first company in the sport to go public.

The company is scheduled to close its initial public offering and start trading at $4.50 a share today.
