Walmart Inc. filed suit against 32 of Colorado's 64 counties.
The Durango Herald reports that through the suit filed Sept. 4, Walmart is seeking to reduce the value of its personal property at 95 stores.
Walmart officials claim Colorado county assessors' valuation of the company's personal property, including furniture and cash registers, was too high. The end result of the suit, should it end in Walmart's favor, would shrink property tax bills at the company's stores.
