Walmart issued roughly $180 million in bonus checks to workers sooner than expected.
The company accelerated quarterly bonuses payments. Earlier this month, it paid $300 to every full-time employee and $150 to part-time workers.
Walmart employees, along with those from other retailers, previously announced a strike planned for today to protest pay and working conditions amid the COVID-19 crisis.
