Walmart shares were up by more than 10 percent in premarket trading this morning on the company's quarterly earnings report.
The retailer reported earnings per share of $1.29, above the $1.22 expected by analysts.
Same-store sales were up 4.5 percent. Analysts were looking for 2.4 percent.
