Walmart is rolling back some of its diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
The company announced it would end racial equity training programs for staff and evaluate programs intended to increase supplier diversity. The company also will not renew its Center for Racial Equity philanthropic initiative.
“We are willing to change alongside our associates and customers who represent all of America,” Walmart officials said in a statement. “We’ve been on a journey and know we aren’t perfect, but every decision comes from a place of wanting to foster a sense of belonging.”
