Walmart is now expecting higher full-year earnings and sales than previously predicted.
The company increased its net sales growth projection for the year to a range of 3.75% to 4.75% from 3% to 4% previously. The forecast for adjusted earnings per share is now $2.52 to $2.62, up from a previous range of $2.50 to $2.60 per share.
In the second quarter, Walmart produced adjusted earnings of 68 cents on revenue of $177.4 billion. Analysts were looking for 74 cents and $176.2 billion in adjusted earnings and revenue, respectively.
