Walmart joined Microsoft to make a joint bid to buy TikTok's U.S. business, a source familiar with the matter told The Associated Press.
Other technology companies such as Oracle also are considering making a bid.
President Donald Trump has pushed for a sale of TikTok's U.S. business. If it doesn't sell, he said the app would be banned in the United States over security concerns.
