Walmart goes upscale with wines at bargain prices

Walmart is getting into the upscale wine business, but customers won't pay upscale prices.

Through the company's new Winemakers Selection, Walmart is offering 10 “distinctive labels" of wine from California, France and Italy at about $11 per bottle.

They “drink like a $30 to $40 bottle of wine," said Nichole Simpson, Walmart’s senior wine buyer.
