Walmart beats quarterly expectations

Walmart reported second-quarter results that beat analysts' expectations.

Adjusted earnings per share were $1.27, 5 cents above forecasts.

Revenue of $130.4 billion beat the $130.1 billion expected by analysts. Additionally, same-store sales were up 2.8%, above the $2.1% analysts predicted.
