Amid the tit-for-tat trade war threats between the United States and China, stocks on Wall Street have boomeranged.
After starting down more than 400 points, or 1.75 percent, the Dow ended almost 1 percent higher, according to a BBC report on April 4. The S&P 500 did not fall as far and also rose about 1 percent, while the Nasdaq added 1.4 percent.
Among the publicly traded companies investors expect to be most affected by the plans for tariffs, Boeing shares fell 1.4 percent.
