Drugstore chain Walgreens Boots Alliance announced yesterday it received regulatory approval to move forward with the purchase of thousands of Rite Aid stores.
Through the deal worth $4.38 billion, Walgreens would pick up 1,932 stores, 254 less than initially announced.
Walgreens previously sought to buy all of Rite Aid, but faced antitrust challenges.
