Walgreens agreed to pay up to $350 million in an opioid lawsuit settlement with the U.S. government.
The settlement requires payment of at least $300 million and another $50 million if the company is sold, merged or transferred before 2032.
The complaint filed in January alleged Walgreens knowingly filled illegal prescriptions between August 2012 and March 2023.
