Wal-Mart to soon offer checking accounts

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is finally getting into the banking business.

The largest retailer in the nation has partnered with Green Dot Bank to offer the low-cost accounts, according to CNNMoney.

Branded GoBank, the accounts include a MasterCard debit card and checking services. The accounts should be available in stores by the end of October.
