In February, Wal-Mart plans to set up Connection Centers in its stores. Associates will be on hand to help customers determine high-speed Internet service availability in their areas and purchase the service on the spot. AT&T then would ship Internet self-installation kits to the customers’ homes.
The Connection Centers will offer the full portfolio of AT&T Yahoo high-speed Internet services, including 1.5 mbps-Internet Express, 3 mbps-Internet Pro and 6 mbps-Internet Elite. Service prices start at $14.99 per month.
In addition to Missouri, Wal-Mart will introduce its AT&T products in California, Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and Connecticut.[[In-content Ad]]
