Wal-Mart to cut 7,000 back-office store jobs

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is eliminating 7,000 jobs.

During the next several months, thousands of store accounting and invoicing positions will be slashed.

The affected employees will have the chance to work elsewhere in stores, the company said.
