Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is partnering with Alphabet's Google to take on Amazon's voice-controlled aide Alexa.
The Google Assistant platform launching in late September will offer hundreds of thousands of Wal-Mart items via voice shopping.
Using Alexa, Amazon's Echo devices accounted for 72.2 percent of the market last year.
