Wal-Mart is speeding up times for customers to return purchases made online.
Next month, the company is making a change on its app that will allow customers to start the return process on their phones before bringing the item into a store. There, they would scan a barcode with their smartphone and drop it off with an employee at an express lane at the customer service desk, a process that will supposedly take 35 seconds or less.
In December, customers will be able to keep items ordered online that the retailer would throw away if they were returned. That means customers could get full refunds for items such as bruised fruit or opened makeup and still keep them.
