Arkansas-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. reported lower-than-expected revenue, hurt by an unexpected decline in U.S. comparable sales and what the company called a competitive retail environment, Fox News reports.
Revenue increased 1.6 percent to $115.69 billion, lower than an expected $116.8 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Third-quarter profits increased 2.8 percent to $3.73 billion.
