Wal-Mart profits decrease, sales rise

While sales rose for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. during the third quarter, net income was down slightly.

Revenue increased 2.9 percent to $119 billion, while net income dropped 0.4 percent to $3.71 billion, according to Reuters.

Same-store sales rose 5.5 percent at Neighborhood Market stores during the quarter.
