Wal-Mart execs top Arkansas executive-compensation list

According to Arkansas Business, the four highest-paid executives of Arkansas-based public companies work for megaretailer Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE: WMT).

New CEO Doug McMillon topped the list with a total compensation in fiscal 2013 at $25.6 million. About $23 million of that total came from stock awards.

The No. 5 spot was held by Roger W. Jenkins, CEO of El Dorado, Ark.-based Murphy Oil Corp., which has more than 1,000 of its convenience stores in front of Wal-Mart locations, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.
