Wal-Mart criticized for sourcing bottled water in drought-hit Calif.

The world’s largest retailer sources some of its bottled water in drought-stricken California, eliciting complaints. But it does not seem inclined to follow the lead of Starbucks, which last week said it would stop the practice.
 
Wal-Mart has declined to stop filling its bottled waters from the taps of a California city hit hard by a crippling, four-year drought, reports Fortune.
 
The Arkansas-based chain is filling its bottles of Great Value bottled water from Sacramento's municipal water supply, the report states, despite complaints and moves by other major retailers to discontinue the practice of sourcing water from California.
