Wal-Mart adding Chase Pay option

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is adding Chase Pay to its Wal-Mart Pay app.

That means starting next year, Chase Pay users will be able to use their smartphones to buy groceries at Wal-Mart instead of credit cards.

Around one in five U.S. consumers are expected to use their smartphones for in-store purchases this year, according to eMarketer.
