WA state investigates O'Reilly Auto for denying same-sex benefits

The state of Washington's attorney general's office said it's investigating Springfield-based O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) for allegedly denying benefits to a woman's wife.

O'Reilly Auto allegedly isn't cooperating with the state's request for more information and has no intention to fully comply, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The state said if and when it receives more information, it may consider filing a lawsuit against the company, which has 148 stores in Washington state.
