VP Biden to attend Carnahan fundraiser in Springfield today

Vice President Joe Biden will be in Springfield today to attend a fundraiser for U.S. senator candidate Robin Carnahan.

The fundraiser will be held this evening at the Tower Club in Hammons Tower, 901 St. Louis St., said Linden Zakula, Carnahan campaign spokesman.

About 170 supporters are expected to attend the private fundraiser, which should raise approximately $100,000, Zakula said.

During the fundraiser, Carnahan will speak about her campaign platform, he said.
