Jackson County residents on Tuesday rejected a stadium sales tax for the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs.
More than 58% of voters rejected the plan.
The initiative would have helped to fund a new ballpark for the Royals and renovations to Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Chiefs.
