Local and statewide election officials are reminding residents that today is the voter registration deadline for the Nov. 5 ballot.
Residents may register to vote online through the Greene County clerk's office or the Missouri secretary of state's office. The deadline today is 5 p.m., according to a news release from the Greene County clerk's office.
Greene County residents may also visit the county clerk's office in the Historic Courthouse, 940 N. Boonville Ave., Room 113, to register. Springfield-Greene County Library District branches and various education institutions are also acting as registration sites.
Residents are being asked to have an acceptable form of identification in order to register.

The former Kmart store on the grounds of the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World and Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium is slated for demolition, according to a permit on file with the city of Springfield.
