Volkswagen has vowed to put a stop to animal testing after the company's latest scandal.
The announcement follows news that German automakers funded a study to test the effects of diesel fumes on monkeys and humans.
"We want to completely eliminate animal testing in the future, so something like this doesn't happen again," said Thomas Steg, Volkswagen's chief lobbyist.
