Volkswagen Truck & Bus buys $256M stake in Navistar

Volkswagen Truck & Bus is buying a $256 million minority stake in Navistar, a manufacturer of trucks, buses and engines.

The companies entered a joint venture to help source parts for both businesses. They'll also share technology, particularly powertrain technology.

For its purchase of 16.2 million Navistar shares, Volkswagen Truck & Bus will be able to name two directors to the Navistar board of directors.
