Volkswagen to break ground on $800M US plant expansion

Volkswagen today is scheduled to break ground on an $800 million expansion to its Chattanooga, Tennessee, assembly plant.

The expansion is designed to boost VW's electric vehicle production at the plant.

The company plans to add 1,000 jobs to the plant's existing workforce of 3,800 employees.
