Vistage C-level advisory group names Springfield chairman

San Diego-based C-level advisory group Vistage Worldwide Inc. named a Springfield region chairman.

Bruce Nasby, owner and president of business coaching firm Global Advisory Associates LLC, becomes the first local chairman for the group, which got its Springfield start in 2012.

Jeff Hindman, owner of St. Louis-based executive search firm The Hindman Group Inc. and chairman of Vistage in St. Louis, launched local efforts and continues to operate a peer advisory group in the area. Nasby said corporate Vistage leaders are determining whether Hindman’s group would transition to him.

The former executive president of Enactus, Nasby said he’s in the process of building a 16-member group he predicted would start meeting around April. The group is limited to executives leading a business with $5 million to $200 million in annual revenue and at least 25 employees.

“It’s lonely at the top. Sometimes you need some counsel from others who are also staying up late at night,” Nasby said, declining to disclose monthly membership rates. “In order for the process to work, it’s got to be something that they’re comfortable with. It’s confidential. It’s very transparent within the membership.

“There’s a lot of people who are CEOs who feel they already know all the answers. Nobody does.”
