Visa and Mastercard have suspended operations in Russia over the country's invasion of Ukraine.
"We are compelled to act following Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and the unacceptable events that we have witnessed," said Visa CEO Al Kelly.
President Joe Biden reportedly welcomed the companies' decisions.
