It's all systems go for Virgin Galactic.
The U.S. government gave clearance Wednesday to the commercial space flight company owned by billionaire entrepreneur Richard Branson, according to CNNMoney.
The flights would leave from Spaceport, which is owned by the state of New Mexico. The Federal Aviation Administration will work with local air traffic control to clear airspace for Virgin space flights.
Plans are in the works to start offering flights by the end of 2014. The cost is $250,000 for a ride out of Earth's atmosphere.
