A California judge ruled that victims of a 2019 synagogue shooting near San Diego can sue the manufacturer of the weapon used in the attack.
Smith & Wesson's AR-15-style rifle was used to kill one worshiper and wound three in the attack.
The judge ruled victims and families have adequately alleged Smith & Wesson knew its AR-15-style rifle could be modified into a machine gun-style or assault weapon in violation of state law.
