Viacom's independent directors vow to fight ouster attempt

Viacom Inc.'s six independent directors vowed on Monday to fight any attempt to oust them from the board.

Controlling shareholder Sumner Redstone, 93, is said to be considering removing Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman and the board of directors.

Dauman, 62, contends Redstone is being manipulated by his daughter Shari. She says her father is acting of his own accord.
