Viacom pursues sale of Paramount

Viacom executives are moving forward with plans to sell Paramount Pictures despite resistance from controlling shareholder Sumner Redstone.

China's Dalian Wanda Group Co. is said to be interested in a 49 percent stake in Paramount. Another undisclosed suitor also is interested.

Viacom is seeking a deal valuing Paramount at $8 billion-$10 billion.
