Verizon: Yahoo's massive breach could impact deal

Verizon may be seeking to reassess its deal to buy Yahoo after the internet company recently revealed a massive email breach.

Craig Silliman, Verizon's general counsel, told reporters yesterday the company has "a reasonable basis" to suspect Yahoo's security breach could affect Verizon's buyout of Yahoo.

In July, Verizon agreed to buy Yahoo's core properties for $4.8 billion. Officials say the company only learned of the Yahoo breach two days before it  was disclosed to the public.
