Valerie joined the SBJ staff in October of 2007 as an advertising account executive and made herself at home in very short order. Valerie explains, "I started my relationship with Springfield Business Journal as a reader first. I couldn't wait to read each issue on Monday morning. If only I had known I could have read it on Saturday by subscribing at home! When the opportunity arose to become an account executive with the company, I jumped at the chance."

Valerie came to SBJ with over 10 years of sales/marketing experience. Valerie spent several years as a marketing director and was once a media buyer. She then switched hats and sold various forms of media on her journey to SBJ. Valerie's most recent position was with KTTS/KSGF in advertising sales.

Valerie says her favorite part about her work is "representing such a respected, trusted and loved publication. The feedback I get when I am out in the marketplace reinforces my belief that I am working in the best interest of my clients by helping them with their marketing in our publication."
