VA nominee withdraws

President Donald Trump's nominee for the next secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs has withdrawn his name from consideration.

Navy Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson has been accused of improperly dishing out opioids, drinking on the job and fostering a hostile work environment in his job as physician to the president.

"If they had any merit, I would not have been selected, promoted and entrusted to serve in such a sensitive and important role as physician to three presidents over the past 12 years," Jackson said of the allegations.
