Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, announced Tuesday he will not run for re-election in 2018.
The longest serving Republican senator, Hatch, 83, has held the seat for 42 years.
Speculation is on the rise about who will replace him. One clue was Mitt Romney, who changed his Twitter location from Massachusetts to Holladay, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City.
