USDA picks downtown KC for offices

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced it selected an office building in downtown Kansas City for two of its research agencies.

USDA officials had been searching for a location after previously announcing the planned move for the Economic Research Service and National Institute for Food and Agriculture.

The two agencies are expected to bring 500 jobs to Kansas City.
