The U.S. Department of Agriculture gave its stamp of approval to lab-grown cell-cultivated chicken products from Upside Foods and Good Meat.
Upside Foods is debuting its product at three-Michelin star chef Dominique Crenn's Bar Crenn in San Francisco. Good Meat is teaming up with celebrity chef José Andrés.
Good Meat CEO Josh Tetrick called the U.S. market entry a "major moment for our company, the industry and the food system."
