The U.S. government announced the country would share up to 60 million doses of its AstraZeneca vaccine stockpile.
The announcement came as the Biden administration faces pressure to share U.S. health resources as coronavirus cases surge in India.
The White House expects 10 million doses to be released when the Food and Drug Administration finishes its review in the coming weeks. Another 50 million doses are in various stages of production.
