U.S. stocks rose Monday after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reportedly vowed not to use nuclear weapons against South Korea.
South Korea’s presidential office said North Korea also is willing to discuss denuclearization with the United States.
South Korea indicated its officials would meet with North Korea in a late April summit.
