U.S. Steel and Nippon have filed suit over their blocked $14.3 billion deal.
The companies said President Joe Biden's executive order blocking the deal was signed for “purely political reasons.”
The companies also filed suit against Lourenco Goncalves, CEO of rival steelmaker Cleveland-Cliffs, and Dave McCall, president of the United Steelworkers, for allegedly conspiring to block the deal.
