US State Department approves $2.2B arms sale to Taiwan

The U.S. State Department gave the green light to the sale of arms estimated at $2.2 billion to Taiwan.

China, which does not recognize the legitimacy of Taiwan, immediately opposed the deal.

The proposed sale includes tanks and missiles.
